Cookie policy.

This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to — with one exception, on the area pages, which is set out below.

The short version

This website does not set cookies, and it does not track you.

There is no analytics on it. No advertising. No tag manager, no pixels, no fingerprinting, no session recording. We do not know who visits, what they read, or where they came from. The fonts are served from this site rather than from Google.

That is why there is no cookie banner. There is nothing to ask you to agree to.

A small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise you later. Some are necessary to make a site work at all. Most, in practice, exist to count and follow people. This site uses neither kind for its own purposes.

The one exception: maps on the area pages

Our area pages — the pages for Billingshurst, Storrington, Pulborough and the rest — show a map of the town. That map is embedded from Google Maps.

When one of those pages loads the map, your browser fetches content directly from Google, and Google may set its own cookies and collect its own data at that point, under their terms rather than ours. We receive nothing from it and we do not have access to whatever they collect.

Two things reduce it, and neither removes it:

  • the map loads only when you scroll far enough down the page to reach it, not on arrival
  • the request is sent without a referrer, so Google is not told which page you were reading

If you would rather not load it at all, browser settings that block third-party content will stop it, and every other page on this site — the services, the projects, the contact page — has no embedded content whatsoever.

Google explain what they collect in their own privacy policy.

Your hosting provider

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosts they operate security and anti-abuse measures at the network level, which can involve a strictly necessary cookie in some circumstances — for example if traffic from a network looks automated. It is not used for analytics or advertising, and it is not something we configure or read.

Turning cookies off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, and see what has been set. The instructions differ by browser and change often, so the reliable route is your browser’s own settings or help pages. Blocking third-party cookies will not break anything on this site.

If this changes

If anything is ever added to this site that sets a cookie, this page will be rewritten before it goes live, and a consent banner will appear where the law requires one. The date at the top of this page is the date it was last true.
